Colorado Casino Guide

"THERE'S GOLD IN THEM THAR HILLS!"

Black Hawk Building Colorado swung open its doors to legalized, limited stakes gambling in 1991, and three historic mountain towns are experiencing a boom comparable to the gold rush days of the late 1800s. Black Hawk and Central City, a scenic, short 45-minute drive from Denver, and Cripple Creek, southwest of Colorado Springs, offer a variety of slot machines, keno, blackjack and poker for gaming enthusiasts.

Take a tour through each town to see their ambience, or visit a particular casino to see what excitement awaits inside.

You'll find colorful listings of casinos large and small, plus you'll find links into individual websites.

Opera House Booming Black Hawk is the next best thing to Las Vegas with its roomy casinos and flashy entertainment. Everything's Bustling in Black hawk! Central City has Victorian charm and summertime events like the world-famous bed races. Cripple Creek takes you back in time to the old West of the 1800s. With its sprawling main street, you'll feel transported to an era of miners, gunfighters and saloon girls. Each town has its own characteristic flavor, and each casino has its own distinctive theme and promotions.

In addition, gamblers will find a bounty of delightful restaurants with meals to satisfy any taste and entertainment galore. Experience a glitzy stage production complete with glamorous showgirls, an afternoon of live boxing or even a horse-drawn carriage ride in Cripple Creek, or sit back and enjoy the finest in live local music at the various casino lounges.

All three towns offer overnight lodging from full-service hotels to quaint bed & breakfasts.

Clear Creek Historical Site The incredible mountain scenery makes your trip there an adventure any time of year, with the beauty of the Rocky Mountain's changing seasons.

If you're planning to stay a spell you can make reservations online (in most cases). See the events and attractions to make the most of your visit. Groups are always welcome, and you'll find courteous assistance and some unbeatable packages from your selected casino.
